Newsletter March 2020

The Spanish government has declared the country in a state of emergency until April 11 and has banned hotels and other shortterm vacation rentals from accommodating tourists.

Tourism industry is by far the most significant for employment and economy in much of Spain. The drastic measures are being implemented in an attempt to quickly halt the spread of the Covid 19 virus and the hope is that the summer tourist season will be at least partially saved.

There are indications that the rapid progress in Spain in combination with the strict rules of conduct and the warmer weather will shorten the transmission period.

We are following the trend and will regularly update the situation on our website (www.villaanamaria.com).

We care about our own and our guests' health and have, therefore, blocked new bookings for an additional month. This period is very likely to be extended.

We will compensate our guests and friends by offering discounted prices when we are back on new bookings.

As far as we understand, none of our guests have been financially affected by cancellations, since card and insurance companies cover the losses.
